Manuel "Omar" Camar - Manuel Camar's training began in the early 1960s when he meet Benjamin Galarpe, the aikido pioneer in the Philippines. Camar is considered to be the most senior student of the first Aikido school in the country, the Manila Aikido Club.
Benjamin Galarpe - Benjamin Galarpe (USN-Ret) is considered to be the father of Aikido in the Philippines. He started the very first Aikido school, the Manila Aikido Club, later renamed Manila Aikikai and now known as the Philippine Aikikai.

He is an 8th dan from the aikido organisation Aikikai, and the founder of the dojo (aikido club) San Diego Aikikai in San Diego where he relocated to in 1981.
Yoshimitsu Yamada - Yoshimitsu Yamada is an aikido teacher originally from Japan, living in the US. He is an 8th dan and the chief instructor at the dojo (aikido club) New York Aikikai.
