Arethusa class cruiser (1934) - The Arethusa class was a class of four light cruisers built for the Royal Navy. They were a smaller version of the earlier Leander class with the two funnels of the intermediate Amphion class but of smaller dimensions and with only three turrets the aft super-firing guns having been removed.
Annapolis destroyer - The Annapolis-class were fifteen of fifty old United States Navy destroyers turned over to Britain in 1940. Their three after funnels were cut down, mainmast and aft TT removed, and 76mm diplaced the "Y" 102mm, reducing tophamper to accomodate ASW weapons and more depth charges for convoy escort.
Torpedo ram - ... cruiser and the monitor, intended to provide small and inexpensive weapon systems for coastal defence and other littoral combat. Like a monitor, torpedo rams operated with very little freeboard, sometimes with only inches of hull rising above the water, exposing only their funnels and turrets to enemy fire.
HMS Castor (1915) - ... HMS Cambrian, HMS Canterbury, and HMS Constance). Design of this class was based on the earlier cruisers HMS Champion and HMS Calliope, which, in turn, were based on the HMS Caroline class, using the same hull as the Carolines but with two funnels and maximum armor thickness of 4" as opposed to 3" in the Carolines.
